Function Space

The Maritim Hotel Magdeburg is the ideal location for conferences and meetings. The Saal Maritim with stage can accommodate up to 1,660 persons, the Otto-von-Guericke Hall with stage is suitable for events for up to 310 persons. In addition there are another 16 excellently equipped conference rooms, ranging from 25 to 235 m² in size. All event areas in the hotel are illuminated by daylight. The new facilities will finally account for the grown space demands of Eurofurence, allowing us to significantly scale up all major events, such as the Art Show, the Dealers' Den, the Fursuit Lounge and at least for the time being, worries about not getting a seat during main stage events should be a thing of the past.

Zoo Magdeburg

For more than 50 years the zoo has been one of the most beautiful and best loved picnic destinations in Magdeburg. It offers various possibilities for recreation, education and leisure. With its 950 animals from 185 species, it presents a variety of species ranging from the penguin to the elephant. In recent years the zoo has become even more wonderful with several new attractions. Starting with the giraffe house, many new constructions have been added. A special attraction for the public are the Humboldt penguins, which are especially popular among the younger visitors. Further popular attractions are the human ape house, the spacious tiger sanctuary, snow leopard range and the lions' den.
