The youth hostel lies a bit away from the center of Göttingen, but still close
enough to allow visitors to visit the city center in a matter of minutes. The total
capacity of the house is 161 beds in 43 rooms. Beyond the sleeping rooms, we have a
total of 5 large conference rooms and 1 concert hall for us to use, summing up to
a whopping 470 square meters available for all kinds of planned events. Additionally
there are a couple of all-purpose day rooms, and a barbecue grill outside and a volleyball
field. The site is easily accessible by wheelchair, too. The caretakers are used to
hosting congresses and conventions, and are ideally equipped for it. We have a bus stop
right in front of the main entrance. The only bad new is, dogs are not allowed in a youth hostel.

You can click on the two maps above to get giant versions of an overview map
of the main train and autobahn connections and a city map.
By Car
Göttingen lies directly to the Autbahn A7. Take exit Göttigen or
Göttigen-Nord, and then into the city. The recommended way to get to
the youth hostel is via: Nikolausberger Weg, Nonnenstieg, Ewaldstrasse, Habichtsweg.
By Train
Göttigen has its own ICE (german high-speed train) station, so going by train
will be the fastest, although maybe not the cheapest way to get there. Take a train
to Göttingen Hauptbahnhof, then take Bus line #4, and change to Bus line #6 (which goes to "Klausberg"). Bus #6 stops directly in front of our con site, the bus stop is appropriately named Jugendherberge :)
By Plane
The nearest two international airports are either Hannover or Frankfurt/Main. From there, you'll have to go by train. You should talk to your travel agency to see
which airport works best for you.
