Artshow Registration

The art show is a place where you are allowed to display and sell artwork, no matter if you are an artist or want to display pieces from your personal collection.

If you want to display anything in the artshow, you are required to sign in your artwork at the check-in desk when you arrive at the con. There you will get all the necessary forms to fill out, and the artshow staff will take care that your artwork will be stored safely and displayed in the artshow. You will be asked if the piece is for sale and if yes, what the required minimum bid is.

Each piece of artwork gets a "bid sheet" attached, on which visitors of the art show can mark their bids. The highest bid wins. Bidders have to return to the artshow building after the artshow closes to pay and pick up the artwork they have won. The unsold artwork is going to be handed back to the owners at check-out time.

There is theoretically no need to pre-register, but artshow space is very limited, and so you should reserve some space in advance. People with reservations will have priority over those who haven't. If you want your art displayed, please fill out the following form and we will reserve artshow space for you. Please don't forget to read the terms and conditions before signing up.

Terms and Conditions

(for sellers)
  • We will do our best to handle your artwork with care, but we can not be held liable for any kind of damage that occurs to your artwork.

  • We reserve the right to refuse to display any pieces of artwork for whatever reason.

  • We generally do not display unlimited prints. If you want to sell prints of artwork which are available in large quantities, you are invited to do so ... in the dealer's den, and not in the art show.

  • The Eurofurence organisation team does not ask for any kind of fees. Displaying and selling artwork is completely free. We do not make any kind of profit.

  • The Eurofurence organisation team only provides the facilities for the artshow, but is NOT involved in the sales of artwork. All sales take place directly between owner and the highest bidder, and lies within their own responsibility.

  • By taking part in the art show, submitters agree to selling their artwork to the highest bidder for the price stated on the bidsheet. The highest bit on the bidsheet is final. The artwork may not be sold to anyone else or for any other price.

  • All bids and prices must be written in DM. All sellers must be prepared to accept at least cash in DM. You are allowed to deal in different currencies and other methods of payment, but the paid amount of money must be an equivalent of the amount in DM written on the bid sheet. Please ask the staff for assistance if you need help.

  • Sellers must be present at the artshow sales event (time to be announced) to sell their artwork to the highest bidders under supervision of the artshow staff. (This is less to supervise the sales than to prevent everyone trying to contact each seller personally, which would result in lots of chaos. We want the artshow sales to run as quick and smoothly as possible.)

  • If the seller can't come to the sales event for any reason, he must personally introduce a representative to the artshow staff.

  • Authorized to make decisions concerning the artshow are Cougar, Cheetah, Tabalon and Jumpy, and NO ONE ELSE. Especially decisions about the refusal of artwork and the acceptance of questionable bids.

Terms and Conditions

(for bidders)
  • Each bidder needs to get a bidder number from the staff. You will get a set of small stickers with your bidder number and a pen.

  • To place a bid, write the amount of your bid in DM onto one of the stickers, and stick it on the bid sheet which is attached to each part of artwork that can be bid for.

  • Come back to the artshow sales event (time to be announced) to see which pieces you have won, and bring enough money to pick up your art directly from the owner.

  • All bids are final. It is not allowed to delete bids once they are made. If you have placed a bid in error, please contact the staff. Only the staff is authorized to delete bids.

  • Please place all your bids as if they were winning ones, because they could be. The highest bid on the bidsheet wins, there is no separate auction. You MUST pay what you have bid for if you win.

  • Bids which were made after the artshow closed are invalid.

  • Bids which the con staff can't read are invalid. Please write clearly!

  • Bids which were made without using our official bid stickers are invalid.

  • Bids which were made with a pencil are invalid. Please ask the staff for a ball pen if you don't have one.

  • Bids should be made in 1DM increments below 20DM, 5DM increments below 100DM and 10DM increments above 100 DM. This is not mandatory, but obviously abusive bids (like bidding 501DM on a 500DM piece in the last second, just to get it without spending more money than the last bidder) will be deleted by the staff.

  • The making of photos and video recordings is allowed only under supervision of a staff member. Closeups of individual pieces require the explicit permission of the artist. Please read the Eurofurence video policy for more details.

  • Guests of the art show must follow the directons of the staff and helpstaff at any time.

  • Please walk carefully, do not run, do not touch the artwork, do not carry food.

  • Nonhuman animals are not allowed in the artshow, sorry.
