[Hungry for more] [Eurofurence 4]
[The Video]

First, some words from the fur behind this project:

The idea of doing a furry convention video popped up in my head several months ago, around early March 1998. I remembered that I still had a subscription at the local  public access TV network here in Bremerhaven. EuroFurence wasn't in my mind at first, that came up later. I decided to borrow a camera for Mephit's Mini Con, which took place in Rüsselsheim, Germany, in the first three days of May. The idea of a furry convention video worked out quite well even at this small housecon. I was able to make it rather cheap, since everything  at the OK Bremerhaven is free (cameras, cutting equipment etc.) except for videotapes which aren't so pricey after all. So the MMC video was high-quality for as low as DM 15,- . The Eurofurence video will probably be even cheaper, since a greater amount of copies is supposed to be made.
The only "problem" is that EuroFurence takes place in a fureign country, so using the camera equipment requires a special agreement by the LMA Bremen (organization which operates the  OK ) because of legal stuff (e.g. insurance). I have signed this agreement as of June 2nd, 1998, this also means that EF4 video is an official OK production, contrary to the MMC video, which wasn't, so don't tell them. ;)  Of course they don't give their equipment away for other peoples' private entertainment, so I have to broadcast a report about EuroFurence. I have asked around on the Eurofurries Mailing List and the organizers of the event, since there were only positive or neutral replies I see that as a "Yes, fine, do that." If there's anybody not liking that, you are too late now. :)

(Historical note: This text was written at about 4 a.m. , so pease excuse any Typing and Gramar errors. ;) )

To the technical stuff:

[Hi-Fi] Systems used will be High Fidelity Stereo and VHS/PAL 625. A NTSC version will _not_ be available.
SECAM-West is upwards-compatible to PAL, so french furs should be able to play the PAL version, too. (if there's anyone crazy enough for STILL using the old French standard...)

Here is a picture of the cutting equipment:
[L'equipement]
There's also an Amiga (bleah!) 4000 there, but not on this picture.

Methods Of Payment:

Inside Germany, you will be able to pay via bank transfer, of course.
(Ich nehm'  ca. 30 Überweisungsformulare gleich mit auf den Con, per BTX gehts natürlich auch, klar. :) )

Furs from other countries will most likely have to pay by eurocheque or cash.
I'll tell more when it's time. And NO, I don't accept AmEx. ;)

Pricing:
The EF4 video will be around DM 12,- to DM 20,- max., depending on your location.
I'll try to do some remailing via The Netherlands to save shipping costs, but that is not sure yet.
The video will be copied to high quality FUJI video tape, as tested with the MMC video tapes.
It will be shipped in a nice durable white plastic case, as you know it from the videos in the stores!
(There will be an artists' contest for the covers, Sam please edit this. :) )

Just another important thing: I CANNOT MAKE ENOUGH COPIES FOR EVERYONE!
I own only a bad and crappy VHS mono VCR, and the cutting equipment at the OK is not suitable for copying dozens of video tapes. That leads to:
I NEED SOMEBODY  IN (preferably north) GERMANY OR THE NETHERLANDS WHO OWNS A SUPER-VHS VIDEO RECORDER AND IS ABLE AND WILLING TO COPY AROUND 50~75 VIDEO TAPES WITH A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 120 MINUTES. IF YOU THINK THAT COULD BE A JOB FOR YOU, PLEASE  LEAVE ME A NOTE !
(note: There are not very much S-VHS _recorders_ out there, but good VHS VCRs often can _play_ S-VHS,
just have a look in your manual...
