Our new con location is located on top of a small 750m high mountain called "Ringberg", located near the small town of Suhl in Germany. The hotel lies in the middle of a vast forest landscape, consisting mainly of fir and spruce trees. On a clear day, the surrounding mountain ranges of the Thuringian Forest make for one of the most beautiful views Germany has to offer.

The hotel has 290 rooms, equalling a total capacity of 580 beds. Rooms are divided in three categories, "regular", "superior", and "suites". All rooms have either a double bed or two seperate beds, their own bathroom with bathtub and shower, telephone, a small fridge and cable TV.

The hotel offers various facilities. Many of them are free of charge for all hotel guests, like the hotel pool, the sauna and the fitness center. Other services include a professional massage service, a store that sells plush animals, and two-lane skittle-alley (the German version of a bowling alley). The hotel also offers 300 free parking spaces right in front of the building.

The hotel offers two restaurants. The first one has about 300 seats, and offers "all you can eat" style buffets for brunch and dinner. The second one is a traditional "a la carte" restaurant for those with a more sophisticated taste. The hotel bar offers hot and cold beverages and cocktails for reasonable prices, all day long until late at night.

Of course we're all hoping for good weather, since the hotel has lots of outside space to stroll around. There is a large number of lawn chairs for those who just want to relax. There is a large fireplace where we are officially allowed to make a camfire, and a huge patio to hold the traditional Wednesday evening barbecue. The hotel bar also has an area where you can sit outside an enjoy your drinks.

The Ringberg Hotel certainly puts the "fun" in "function space". We have a total amount of roughly 4000 square meters at our disposal. The main ballroom is good for up to 600 people, and is fully air conditioned. No more over-stuffed main events! The convention center is in a separate building that is connected to the main hotel building through a passageway. That means that even the louder stage events will not disturbe those who want to sleep in their rooms.

The hotel booking will be handled by Eurofurence. That means, you pay for your hotel room with your regular Eurofurence registration. Check out the registration page for details.
