Important Announcement! (Deutsche Uebersetzung folgt weiter unten. Scroll down for German version.) There is a rumour going round, that Eurofurence X is already booked out. However, that is not entirely true. Yes, at the moment we are out of beds, but we are NOT out of space! We still have capacity for 50 more people. So here is the guide ... How to get a space at Eurofurence X Option 1: Put yourself on the waiting list There are always lots of people who either can't pay or cancel their membership for various reasons. And we're still negotiating the possibility of putting up extra beds in some of the rooms. Right now, (April 22) we only have 9 people on the waiting list ... chances are still pretty good to get in! Just register normally, and we'll notify you as soon as places become available. Of course no payments are due until you really have a space. If you don't let us know you want to come, we can't help you to get it! So, by all means, if you want to come, register! Option 2: Spaces for Tents are available If you don't mind sleeping in a tent outside (it's likely to be very warm at the end of August), you can immediately join EFX. Just register through the web interface, and put a note in the "comments" field that you want to camp. Campers get a 30 EUR discount from the regular con fee. The fact that you're staying in a tent will be the only difference from a regular membership, everything else is still included. Option 3: Seek external accomodation You can still get a space, if you find accomodation outside the youth hostel. It's up to you to find a place to sleep: In your car, bring your own motorhome, stay at some local furry's place, or a hotel. There are some smaller hotels in the area that you might contact for accomodation. It will be a bit more costly than a bed at the youth hostel, but depending on your situation, it might be worth it. Please contact Nightfox (nightfox@blackpaw.de) if you need help. The same 30 EUR discount applies as with Option 2. If you want to take this option, just register normally, and put a small message in the "comments" field. Option 4: Share a bed/room with someone you like Basically, this is a variation of Option 3 :) If someone lets you sleep in their bed, or put an air mattress in their room, that's fine with us. However, we'd like to mention that it's of course your own responsibility to make sure that all people in the room agree with your idea :) For safety reasons we will not allow more than one extra bed/air mattress/whatever, and not more than 2 extra people per room. The same 30 EUR discount will apply as with option 2 and 3. Again, if you want this option (and the person or group you're planning to join is fine with it), just register normally, and put a comment in the comments field. That's it. Wichtige Ankündigung Das Geruecht geht um, dass Eurofurence X schon ausgebucht sei. Das stimmt allerdings nicht so ganz ... ja, im Moment sind uns die Betten ausgegangen, aber nicht der Platz! Wir haben noch Platz fuer bis zu 50 weitere Gaeste. So kann man noch Plätze für EFX ergattern Moeglichkeit 1: Setzt euch auf die Warteliste Es gibt immer eine Menge Leute, die sich angemeldet haben aber dann nicht bezahlen, oder ihr Kommen aus verschiedensten Gruenden absagen. Zusaetzlich besprechen wir gerade die Moeglichkeit noch zusaetzliche Betten aufzustellen. Im Moment (26.4.) haben wir nur 9 Leute auf der Warteliste ... die Chancen noch reinzurutschen stehen ziemlich gut. Meldet euch einfach ganz normal an, und ihr landet automatisch auf der Warteliste, und bekommt automatisch eine Nachricht, sobald ein Platz fuer euch freigeworden ist. Natuerlich werden keine Zahlungen faellig, bevor ihr nicht wirklich einen Platz zugesichert bekommen habt. Wenn ihr uns nicht sagt, dass ihr teilnehmen wollt, koennen wir euch auch nicht helfen, Plaetze zu bekommen. Also, bitte meldet euch an, wenn ihr kommen wollt! Moeglichkeit 2: Wir haben Zeltplaetze! Wenn es euch nichts ausmacht, draussen im Zelt zu schlafen (und Ende August wird es garantiert nicht kalt sein), koennt ihr SOFORT ohne Warteliste einen Platz bekommen. Meldet euch einfach ueber das Webinterface an, und schreibt ins Kommentarfeld, dass ihr Zelten wollt. Zelter bekommen einen Nachlass von 30 Euro vom normalen Eintrittspreis. Der Umstand dass ihr im Zelt schlaft ist das einzige, was euch von "normalen" Gaesten unterscheidet, alles andere ist nach wie vor inklusive. Moeglichkeit 3: Ein Schlafplatz ausserhalb Ihr koennt immer noch sofort einen EF-Platz haben, wenn ihr euch selbst eine Unterbringung sucht. Wo das sein koennte, bleibt ganz euch ueberlassen: Im Auto, im Wohnmobil, bei Bekannten in der Gegend, oder im Hotel. Es gibt einige kleinere Hotels in der Naehe, bei denen man noch Zimmer buchen kann. Das ist natuerlich ein wenig teurer als die Uebernachtung in der Jugendherberge, aber je nach Situation kann es sich dennoch lohnen. Die Adressen von Hotels in der Naehe koennt ihr bei Nightfox (nightfox@blackpaw.de) erfragen. Natuerlich gilt hier der gleiche 30-Euro-Nachlass wie bei den Zeltern. Und genauso reicht es, sich normal anzumelden, und ins Kommentarfeld zu schreiben, dass ihr euch anderweitig eine Unterkunft sucht. Moeglichkeit 4: Teilt das Bett oder den Raum mit jemandem den ihr moegt Das ist natuerlich im Wesentlichen eine Variation von Moeglichkeit 3 :) Wenn ihr jemanden kennt, mit dem ihr das Bett teilen moechtet, oder der euch erlaubt, eine Luftmatratze in seinen Raum zu legen, so ist das natuerlich voellig in Ordnung. Allerdings liegt es in eurer eigenen Verantwortung vorher klarzumachen, dass die Leute in dem Zimmer, in dem ihr euch zusaetzlich einquartieren wollt, damit auch einverstanden sind! Ausserdem koennen wir aus Sicherheitsgruenden auch nicht mehr als 2 zusaetzliche Gaeste, und nicht mehr als eine zusaetzliche Matratze pro Zimmer erlauben. Auch hier gibt es die gleichen 30 Euro Ermaessigung wie bei Moeglichkeit 2 und 3.
